Yulia Lipnitskaya is the youngest Russian to win gold medal in Winter Olympics



Yulia Lipnitskaya became the youngest Russian athlete to win a gold medal at the Winter Olympics.
Yulia, 15-years-old won this medal in Winter Olympics 2014 at Sochi, Russia on 9 February 2014 in free skating in the team figure skating competition.Yulia scored 141.51 points and earned a combined total of 214.41 under the International Judging System. Kim Yuna of South Korea is the current record holder, who scored 150.06 and combined total of 228.56 in women’s single in Winter Olympics 2010.
The youngest athlete is South Korean short track speed skater Kim Yun-mi, who won the medal at the age of 13 in Winter Olympics, 1994.
